The Crappie limit is twenty-five (25) fish per day per person. Bass are catch and release only. Anglers in possession of a valid two-rod stamp and anglers under 16 years of age may use up to two rods in inland waters which regulations provide for the taking of fish by angling, except those waters in which only artificial lures or barbless hooks may be used. BBQs are a touchy subject; nonetheless, they are not allowed on Green Valley Mutual Water Company property or GVL RECREATION, INC. property, nor any open fire. Emergency services may be called if any person is caught violating this rule. So, please plan accordingly and prepare food ahead of time, there are many trash receptacles around the Lake for your convenience. Or try one of the many local restaurants in our Mountain Communities before ascending to Green Valley Lake, as Green Valley Lake has limited options for food in town. More options become available in GVL in the midst of summer. You can find a directory of local Mountain Business here: https://www.runningspringschamber.com/find-a-business/

Also, dogs are only allowed in the water at the designated “Dog Beach” area to ensure a better fishing and boating experience for all people using the Lake.
-
